Title: Bartender

Summary: The Bartender is responsible for greeting customers, taking food and drink orders, mixing ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages, serving beer and other drinks, and completing transactions. The bartender communicates ticket times and potential issues to management and servers as necessary. This role requires providing the highest quality of service to customers and colleagues at all times. This non-exempt position typically reports to the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or General Manager.

Essential Functions:

Greet customers and take food and drink orders, providing product information and upselling when appropriate.
Follow recipes and product directions for mixing beverages.
Collect payments and operate cash registers following company cash handling policies; secure all monies at the end of each shift.
Follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication and handle intoxicated guests appropriately.
Adhere to all customer service, beverage, and cash handling policies.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked bar.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

Must meet the state minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
At least 1 year of bartending experience; experience in high-volume or fast-casual dining preferred.
Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and their preparation and presentation, with ability to keep updated on beverage recipes.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
Ability to read, comprehend instructions, and communicate effectively with customers.
Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
Frequent hand immersion in water and chemical solutions.

Location: Austin Airport F&B Compensation: $7.15 per hour (plus tips)
