ROLE SUMMARY: The Barback supports the bartender and outlet team to ensure smooth bar operations and exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining bar areas, stocking supplies, assisting with beverage service when needed, and upholding the Legendary Hospitality standards at Hotel Drover.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Embody Hotel Drover’s core values in all interactions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, workstations, and service stations
Prepare and maintain batch mixes and pre-made ingredients for consistent, efficient beverage preparation
Clear and transport dishes and glassware from public spaces to designated areas
Partner with Warehouse team to receive deliveries, track inventory, and ensure proper storage and rotation of bar products
Stock beer, wine, liquor, juices, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies
Assist bartenders with setup, side work, and breakdown of bar operations
Clean shelving, mixers, soda guns, blenders, stainless steel surfaces, and other bar equipment
Remove and dispose of trash timely, maintaining sanitary standards
Assist with food and beverage service to guests and team members when required
Support additional operational areas as needed, including lobby, pool, and backyard activations
Perform other duties as assigned

ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
Regularly lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs without assistance
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, push, pull, and reach overhead and below knees
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to hot/cold conditions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Clear, professional, and respectful communication skills with guests, peers, and leaders
Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
Food Handler and TABC certifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous hospitality experience in a hotel or high-volume restaurant/bar
Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and passion for mixology
Familiarity with the Fort Worth Stockyards and local community
