Bartender
Job Description
Position Summary:
The Bartender understands and follows alcohol serving laws. They prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while interacting with customers, taking and serving food as necessary. The Bartender maintains a clean and sanitized environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare cocktails and other drinks following recipes, including garnishing.
- Serve members and customers promptly, check identification, accept payment, and answer questions.
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning bar surfaces, furniture, equipment, and returning used dishware.
- Manage supplies by restocking liquors, wines, beer, non-alcoholic ingredients, and replacing beer barrels.
- Reconcile the bar's cash register at the end of each shift.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 to 2 years of bartending experience.
- Certification to serve alcohol.
- CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire.
- Ability to routinely bend and lift more than 20 lbs.
- Ability to stand and move around the cafe for extended periods.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with inventory management and ordering.
