Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain proper daily setup of the bar, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily function projections.
- Manage stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure product quality.
- Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders, mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes with portion control.
- Comply with all State, Federal, and Corporate regulations for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Input orders into the point-of-sale system and create checks for guests to ensure accountability.
- Handle cash transactions, make change, verify charges, record transactions, and ensure proper voucher execution.
- Secure all beverage, food, and equipment items, make cash deposits, and secure the bank.
- Adhere to attendance policies and be regularly available to work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Hotel experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service.
- Basic math skills to operate cash registers and handle transactions.
- Manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and handle glassware and bottles.
- Ability to memorize and promote menu items.
- Ability to operate POS systems.
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Adaptable communication style for diverse audiences.
- Salary Range: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
- Eligible for tips/service charge
- No discretionary performance bonus
