Position Overview: Bartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. Responsibilities include verifying age requirements, knowledge of alcohol pairing and drink preparation, processing payments, managing inventory, and maintaining bar cleanliness.

Essential Job Functions:

Set up the bar with supplies (fruit, garnishes, napkins, glassware) before opening.
Ensure correct product display to enhance sales.
Receive and prepare drink orders using standard recipes and pours.
Process payments accurately and make change.
Provide prompt and attentive service to guests.
Close down the bar by securing inventory, cleaning, and storing supplies.
Assist servers with food and beverage service as needed.
Inform guests of daily specials and chef's recommendations.
Place orders with the kitchen and communicate special instructions.
Perform quality checks to ensure guest satisfaction.
Clear and reset tables and maintain cleanliness of dining areas.
Handle cash and credit card transactions following standard procedures.
Attend pre-shift meetings as requested.
Report any guest complaints promptly to the supervisor.
Follow company policies and maintain a neat, professional appearance.

Legislation & Company Policy:

Obtain TIP certification within 3 months of hire.
Verify guest age and refuse service politely when necessary.
Use judgment to handle difficult situations, including intoxicated guests and underage customers.
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and offer taxi services if needed.
Support and adhere to all relevant company policies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
