Organizational Structure:

Department: Food and Beverage
Reports To: Bar Manager
Pay Structure: Hourly, paid bi-weekly

Position Overview: Bartenders mix and serve drink orders while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include verifying age requirements, knowing drink recipes, managing inventory, processing payments, and maintaining cleanliness.

Essential Job Functions:

Prepare bar with supplies (fruit, garnishes, glassware) before opening.
Display products to enhance sales.
Receive and prepare drink orders accurately.
Process payments and give correct change.
Greet guests promptly and engage to enhance relations.
Close bar by securing inventory and cleaning.
Assist servers with food and beverage service as needed.
Inform guests about daily specials.
Take and enter orders accurately.
Coordinate with kitchen on special requests.
Perform quality checks to ensure guest satisfaction.
Clear and reset tables.
Maintain cleanliness of dining and bar areas.
Report complaints to supervisor promptly.
Attend pre-shift meetings.
Review and submit end-of-shift reports.
Maintain professional appearance and hygiene.
Treat all guests with respect and strive to exceed expectations.

Legislation & Company Policy:

Obtain TIP certification within 3 months.
Verify guests are of legal drinking age; refuse service politely if not.
Observe guest behavior; intervene or involve management if intoxication is suspected.
Follow all company policies related to the role.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
Reliable transportation to work.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Attention to detail.
