Job Description
Title: Bartender - Corsica Reston
Description: The Bartender must be friendly, outgoing, and possess excellent communication skills to provide a spectacular experience for bar guests. They should demonstrate personality to delight restaurant guests by creating innovative drinks that meet both the menu and customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Interact with customers, take orders, and serve food and drinks
- Assess guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
- Check guests’ identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance
- Monitor and control guests’ alcohol consumption to ensure safety
- Communicate and attend to guests promptly
- Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness and inventory standards
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Skills and Requirements:
- Basic mathematical skills for handling money and giving proper change
- Basic reading and computer skills, including POS system handling
- Solid knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktail recipes
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of food and beverage specifications
- Comprehension of workplace safety procedures
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol per state law
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior restaurant experience is a plus but not required
- Must pass TIPs/ABC Alcohol test with a score of 70% or better
Working Conditions:
- Ability to walk and stand throughout scheduled shifts
- Ability to reach, bend, lift, and carry continuously during shifts
- Ability to remain stationary for periods during shifts
