Job Title: Bartender (Cantinero/a)

Location: Mayflower Park Hotel - Seattle, WA 98101 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Salary: $21.30 per hour Shift: Any Category: Restaurant - Food Service

Position Purpose: Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to all guests. Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of tables and bar area.

Responsibilities:

Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
Take beverage and food orders at the bar, describe menu items, and suggest products.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Conduct opening and closing inventory of spirits.
Securely store all liquor, beer, and wine.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, and garnish preparation.
Ensure all equipment (taps, coolers, blenders, coffee makers) is clean and operational.
Verify customers’ identification to confirm legal drinking age.
Do not serve alcoholic beverages to minors or intoxicated persons.
Operate cash register and process payments accurately.
Maintain cleanliness of bar area, glassware, and disposal of waste.
Assist servers, bartenders, and barbacks as needed.
Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet.
Provide professional and courteous customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Supportive Functions:

Assist with guest inquiries.
Follow company safety and security policies.
Report maintenance or safety issues.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Physical Demands:

Work indoors with some exposure to extreme temperatures (freezers at -10°F and kitchens at +110°F).
Stand and move continuously for up to four hours.
Lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull equipment up to 250 lbs.
Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and sensory abilities including hearing, tasting, smelling, and visual observation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in verbal and written communication.
Strong leadership and customer relations skills.
Detail-oriented with organizational skills.
Basic computer skills including Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems.
Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations.
Knowledge of table and bar service, spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
One to three years of high-volume bar experience required.

Licenses and Certifications:

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required.
California RBS Certification required.

Grooming and Attendance:

Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to Azul Hospitality standards.
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
Compliance with company policies for safe and effective hotel operations is mandatory.
Flexibility to work varying schedules and attend required training sessions.
