Location: The 97-room Kimpton Palladian Hotel is situated on the border of Belltown and the retail core of Seattle, within walking distance of landmarks including Pike Place Market and waterfront attractions. The hotel features luxe amenities, a seafood restaurant (Shaker + Spear), a speakeasy-style lounge (Pennyroyal), and is popular among tech professionals and tastemakers.

Overview: The Bartender is responsible for setting up the bar area, mixing drinks for guests and servers, maintaining cleanliness and service standards, ensuring guest satisfaction, and managing liquor inventory and cashiering functions.

Responsibilities:

Maintain attentiveness, friendliness, and courtesy to guests, managers, and coworkers at all times
Process guest checks, handle cash, credit cards, and room charges accurately
Perform opening and closing side work to ensure efficient service
Prepare beverages and cocktails according to company standards for mixing, portion control, and presentation
Serve food and beverages in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner
Keep lounge areas clean and tidy
Use the computer system for order and payment processing
Follow all state liquor laws and serve alcohol responsibly
Assist in controlling beverage costs and maintaining inventory levels
Stock and clean glassware, prepare garnishes, and check soda tanks
Assist with cleaning tables and lounge areas as needed
Ensure overall guest satisfaction

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages according to local laws
Ability to stand for entire shifts and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Previous bartending experience preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with guests and employees
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle problems effectively
Attend all required meetings and trainings
Maintain professional appearance and compliance with company standards
Ability to cross-train in other hotel areas and maintain confidentiality
Demonstrate initiative and a service-oriented attitude
