Position Purpose: Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to all guests. Maintain cleanliness and perform related duties including setup and general cleaning.

Essential Responsibilities:

Greet guests in a welcoming manner.
Take food and beverage orders; describe menu items and suggest offerings.
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
Verify customer ID to ensure legal drinking age; prevent service to minors or intoxicated persons.
Perform opening and closing procedures and side work, keeping stations stocked and clean.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Conduct opening and closing inventory of spirits.
Ensure safe and secure storage of liquor, beer, and wine products.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, and garnish preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of taps, coolers, blenders, and coffee makers.
Dispose of waste, clean glassware, and wipe down service and preparation areas.
Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet.
Operate cash register/POS system and handle payments accurately.
Provide professional and courteous service to all guests.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Assist with guest inquiries.

Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform other reasonable tasks as requested.

Physical Demands:

Work primarily indoors with moderate, controlled temperatures; exposure to extreme temperatures in freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F) for up to one hour.
Ability to stand and move for up to four hours.
Maneuver efficiently in limited space.
Lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs.
Use hands and fingers for repetitive motions and operate equipment.
Good hearing, vision, smelling, and tasting abilities for quality control and communication.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the workplace language.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent leadership and customer relations abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of POS, PMS, Windows OS, and MS Office.
Ability to handle sensitive customer situations with patience and diplomacy.
Knowledgeable in table and bar service, and familiarity with spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.
Self-driven and able to work independently.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Preferred 1-3 years food service experience.
Preferred experience with Micros POS system.

Licenses and Certifications:

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required.

Grooming:

Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to Azul Hospitality standards.

Attendance:

Regular attendance adhering to company standards is essential.
Staff must comply with all hotel rules and regulations.
Work schedules may vary based on business needs; attendance at all training sessions and meetings required.
