Job Description
Job Title: Bartender - Vagabond MKE
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53202
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve drinks according to customer requests or established recipes, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Greet customers, take orders, recommend menu items, and verify patrons are of legal drinking age by checking identification.
- Handle cash and card transactions, balance the cash register, and create specialty drinks or seasonal cocktail menus as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, wash glassware, restock supplies, and comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, bar equipment, and beverage service.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
- Observant, detail-oriented, courteous, and efficient.
- Certifications such as TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol may be required depending on state laws.
- Must meet the minimum legal age to serve alcohol.
- High school education typically required; additional training or bartending school is advantageous.
