Title: Bartender

Job Summary: As a Bartender, you will maintain beverage control, accurately pour and serve products, and keep the bar area clean and organized. You will provide exceptional service consistent with the club’s standards, enhancing the member and guest experience by consistently applying the 3-steps of service.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Beverage, Director of Restaurants, or Director of Banquets.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high standards of service as outlined in the Food & Beverage service training program.
Assist with food and beverage service to members and guests at the bar.
Greet members promptly by name and provide a warm, personalized experience.
Execute member and guest orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Address and resolve complaints professionally, notifying management when necessary and practicing effective service recovery.
Prepare the bar area at the start of each shift by setting up bottles, garnishes, glassware, and ice.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including regular sanitizing.
Complete daily assignments and side work, including restocking and refilling supplies.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the a la carte menu, daily features, and specials.
Manage beverage control through proper stocking and responsible pouring of liquor items.
Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Additional Duties:

Assist other employees as needed due to the dynamic nature of the club.
Follow all company, club, and department policies and procedures.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and commitment to excellence.
Comply with safety guidelines and encourage safe working practices.
Take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain necessary certifications.
Participate in daily briefings and team activities.
Wear a clean, neat uniform that meets club standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Certification in alcohol and food safety awareness preferred.
Previous experience in Food & Beverage service preferred.
Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Strong commitment to ethical work standards.
Comfortable working in indoor and occasional outdoor environments.
Basic bar and wine knowledge, including cocktails and wine varietals.
Ability to properly open a bottle of wine with a wine tool.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
Able to work in varying temperatures with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, and folding/unfolding when required.
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
Effective communication skills (talking, hearing) and sufficient visual acuity.

Bar dishwasher

Work Schedule:

Attendance as outlined on the weekly schedule.
Additional hours may be required, including weekends and holidays.
