Job Summary: We are seeking a Bartender to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for taking customer orders, making drink recommendations, maintaining a clean and inviting bar area, and creating both traditional and creative cocktails. The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-service oriented, and passionate about mixology.
Responsibilities:
- Take drink orders
- Verify patrons' legal drinking age and comply with all state and federal alcohol laws
- Collect payments and operate the cash register
- Order, maintain, and restock bar inventory and supplies
- Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning and stocking
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years experience in upscale dining, bartending, or full-service restaurant environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine service, beer, and spirits
- Familiarity with Italian wines
- Ability to provide polished, professional, and hospitable guest service in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Experience using POS systems and handling cash/credit transactions accurately
- Valid Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required
- Ability to carry trays, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 30 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Ability to memorize menus, daily specials, wine lists, and cocktail recipes
- Flexibility to assist in bartending and serving roles as needed
- Team-oriented mindset with strong work ethic and reliability
