Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain proper and adequate daily setup of the bar, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce according to daily function projections.
- Manage stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure product quality.
- Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders.
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
- Comply with all State, Federal, and Corporate regulations related to alcoholic beverage service.
- Input orders accurately into the point-of-sale system and maintain accountability for all beverages served.
- Handle cash transactions, verify charges, and secure vouchers to balance all money.
- Lock and store all beverage, food, and equipment items; deposit cash drops and secure the bank.
- Comply with attendance policies and maintain regular availability.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Hotel experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service.
- Basic math skills to operate cash registers, make change, total checks, and prepare cash drops.
- Manual dexterity to prepare garnishes, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and retrieve stock.
- Ability to memorize and promote menu items.
- Operate point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.
- Maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
- Effective verbal and written communication adaptable to various audiences.
- Hourly Rate: $20.50 - $22.50
- Eligible for tips/service charge
- No discretionary performance bonus
