Title: Rooftop Bartender

About Us Located on the iconic Sunset Strip, The Sun Rose West Hollywood is a newly rebranded, independent, award-winning hotel and a proud member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. The property features 149 guest rooms and suites, a signature rooftop poolside restaurant by Wolfgang Puck, a full-service spa, and an intimate live music venue. Set on the former House of Blues site, The Sun Rose delivers an experience that is magnetic, quietly bold, and unmistakably West Hollywood.

Overview Serve guests in a hospitable manner to ensure a positive guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily function projections.
Maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure product quality.
Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders, mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes with prudent portion control.
Comply with all State, Federal, and Corporate requirements regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages.
Input orders into the point of sale system, create checks for each guest to maintain accountability.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including making change, verifying charges, recording sales, and ensuring proper execution of vouchers.
Securely store all beverage, food, and equipment items; manage cash drops and secure the bank.
Comply with attendance rules and be regularly available to work.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Hotel experience preferred.
Strong communication skills with guests.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service.
Basic math skills to operate a cash register, make change, total checks, and manage cash drops.
Manual dexterity for garnishing, handling glassware and bottles, scooping ice, mixing drinks, and retrieving stock.
Ability to memorize and promote menu items.
Competence with keyboard and point of sale systems.
Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Effective verbal and written communication skills adaptable to different audiences.

Compensation Salary Range: $21.71 per hour Tipped/Service Charge Eligible: Yes Discretionary Performance Bonus Eligible: No
