Title: Lobby Bar Bartender
Job Overview: The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service while creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for hotel guests. This role prepares and serves a diverse selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, provides outstanding customer service, maintains bar operations, and ensures compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations. The Bartender plays a key role in enhancing the overall guest experience by delivering prompt, professional, and personalized service in a fast-paced, full-service hotel environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, brand standards, and responsible alcohol service practices
- Deliver exceptional guest service by providing prompt, courteous, and personalized beverage and food service while fostering a welcoming atmosphere
- Accurately receive, prepare, and process beverage and food orders in a high-volume environment
- Recommend beverages and menu items to enhance guest experience and maximize sales
- Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with liquor laws, alcohol service regulations, and company policies
- Process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions accurately, maintaining financial accountability
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar, equipment, and guest areas in accordance with health and safety standards
- Prepare and replenish garnishes, mixers, beverages, and bar supplies throughout service
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock rotation and communicate replenishment needs
- Contribute to beverage menu development, seasonal promotions, and specialty cocktails
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and professionally address intoxicated or disruptive guests according to hotel policies
- Collaborate with culinary, restaurant, banquet, and hotel teams to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction
- Comply with all hotel policies, safety, sanitation, and quality assurance standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Requirements: Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2-3 years of bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, or high-volume hospitality environment preferred
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling preferred
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, mixology, wines, beers, spirits, and responsible alcohol service
- Excellent guest service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to accurately process transactions and maintain cash accountability
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, showing professionalism and initiative
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Schedule: Work schedule is based on business demands; availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
Physical, Mental, Environmental & Technical Demands: Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking under time constraints. Tasks include frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 250 lbs. May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Manual dexterity needed to operate office equipment. Possible exposure to high ambient noise levels.
Grooming: Employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines will be provided during orientation.
