Bartender - South Norwalk

Sally's Apizza, renowned for its New Haven Style Apizza since 1938, is expanding nationwide. Known for our distinctive tomato sauce and chewy, crispy crust with an iconic oven-kissed char, we hand-craft authentic pizzas using original recipes. Description: As a bartender, you will work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. We seek efficient individuals with exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional service by following Sally's Steps of Service.
Greet guests warmly and guide them through their experience.
Mix traditional and signature cocktails.
Maintain a clean and sanitary bar area.
Prepare and maintain ingredients and garnishes.
Ensure smooth bar operations, especially in management’s absence.
Suggest drinks based on customer preferences.
Process customer payments and maintain cash drawer responsibility.
Complete assigned side work timely.
Manage bar inventory and coordinate daily supply orders.
Assist with deliveries and workplace cleanliness.
Adhere to alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Verify customer identification and age requirements.
Contribute to drink menu development.
Assist in orienting new employees.
Participate in programs to improve service quality and employee productivity.
Follow all company policies and sanitation guidelines.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations.
Skilled in mixology for traditional and creative cocktails.
Understanding of unique flavor pairings.
Ability to enforce company alcohol policies.
Accountability with inventory and payment processing.
Proficient in operating beverage service equipment safely.
Strong attention to detail and customer service abilities.
Good communication and organizational awareness.
Integrity and ethical behavior.
Language: English required; basic Spanish preferred but not required.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Salary & Benefits:

Pay range: $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience.
Weekly pay; tipped position.
