Job Description A Bartender is responsible for making, mixing, and pouring alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests at the bar and restaurant. The role requires providing friendly, cheerful, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional guest experience. The Bartender reports to the Restaurant Manager and instructs the Barback.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare drinks, serve wine and bottled beer, and draw draught beer from kegs
- Interact with guests, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
- Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays and merchandise drinks
- Maintain a clean and sanitary bar meeting Department of Health standards
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Basic knowledge of beer and wine
- Excellent communication skills
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Ability to remain stationary for up to 8 hours
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and move with good mobility
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use draught systems, wine keys, and Point of Sale systems
