Job Description
Position: Bartender
Reports to: General Manager
Job Summary: Responsible for following excellent service steps to provide a memorable experience for bar guests.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Review MVP program with guests and demonstrate strong knowledge of the program.
- Accurately input guest orders into POS system.
- Review menus with guests, answer questions, upsell to enhance their experience, and explain menu items including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including liquor, wine, bottled or draft beer.
- Serve food items to customers seated at the bar.
- Follow drink recipes and specifications.
- Clean glasses, utensils, bar equipment, bars, work areas, and tables.
- Stock the bar with beer, wine, liquor, ice, glassware, napkins, and straws.
- Cut fresh fruit for drink garnishes and arrange bottles and glasses attractively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and coolers, and properly store deliveries.
- Collect payment for all orders and verify identification to ensure legal age for alcohol purchase.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and inform management to limit liability.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach toward coworkers and customers.

Essential Functions:
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive movements.
- Use hands and fingers effectively to handle tools and objects.
- See details at various distances and distinguish colors accurately.
- Communicate clearly and understand others' speech.
- Maintain physical stamina including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Multitask and shift attention between different activities.
- Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements: Candidates must be dependable, professional, and able to handle high-stress situations with self-control. Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs is required.
