Job Title: Barback Department: Beverage Reports To: Manager, Beverage Employment Type: Part-Time Location: Amerant Bank Arena

Job Summary: The Barback ensures bars are stocked and ready for each event and assists bartenders in delivering exceptional service to patrons. This is a part-time, event-based position within the Food and Beverage Department. Hours fluctuate based on the arena event schedule.

Responsibilities:

Set up bars for service, including icing and fruit delivery, and break down after events
Maintain correct product inventory at bars, including proper alcohol brands and beer sizes
Understand and execute responsible alcohol service
Maintain sanitation and food safety standards
Check draft keg levels and replace as needed
Support bartenders as necessary
Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments
Navigate the arena and assist guests as needed
Support other Food & Beverage departments as required
Other tasks as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications:

Minimum 18 years of age
Proven customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
Exceptional organization and prioritization skills
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to maneuver kegs with team assistance
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Work well in a high-noise, high-traffic, variable temperature environment with occasional flashing lights and pyrotechnics

Position Type/Hours: Non-exempt, part-time position with flexible hours based on event schedule.
