Key Responsibilities

Open and prepare the bar for service following company standards
Prepare cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and accuracy
Take orders and provide attentive service to guests at the bar
Prepare beverages for dining room service tickets in a timely and organized manner
Ensure all beverages meet presentation and quality standards
Maintain strong product knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and menu offerings
Assist with wine service and beverage recommendations
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar area throughout service
Restock liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, glassware, and supplies properly
Follow opening, closing, and side-work procedures
Accurately handle cash, tabs, and POS transactions
Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers, managers, kitchen, and support staff
Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all local and state liquor laws
Anticipate guest needs and deliver hospitality-focused service
Assist with inventory organization and bar maintenance as directed
Support special events, private dining, and beverage programming when needed

Requirements

Previous bartending experience preferred in upscale or high-volume environments
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverage service standards
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Professional appearance and excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
Ability to work independently and positively contribute to a team
Dependable, punctual, and coachable
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Must hold legal alcohol service certification in Illinois
