Job Description
Title: Bartender
Job Summary: The Bartender is responsible for preparing drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. They provide the highest quality service to guests and servers, maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout operating hours, and control liquor inventory.
Essential Job Functions:
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
- Comply with company standards, regulations, and certification requirements (Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, Safety, etc.).
- Perform opening and closing side work to ensure prompt and efficient service.
- Prepare beverages and cocktails according to mixing, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
- Serve guests courteously and professionally.
- Keep the lounge clean.
- Follow check ringing procedures precisely.
- Operate the P.O.S system and perform cashiering functions.
- Adhere to all state liquor laws.
- Assist in maintaining beverage cost control.
- Serve liquor responsibly to avoid issues with intoxicated guests.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with state regulations).
- Physical ability to stand for entire shifts and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle workplace issues effectively.
- Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
