Overview Serve guests in a hospitable manner to ensure a positive guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily function projections.
Manage stock, preparation, and storage of fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure quality.
Greet guests courteously, take and document drink orders, mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
Comply with all State, Federal, and Corporate regulations regarding alcohol service.
Input orders into the register; create checks for all guests to maintain beverage accountability.
Handle cash transactions, verify charges, issue change, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
Secure bar equipment and deposits, including locking items and managing cash drops.
Adhere to attendance rules and maintain regular availability.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Preferred hotel experience.
Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service.
Basic math skills for cash handling, totaling checks, and portion control.
Manual dexterity for garnishing, mixing drinks, and handling bar equipment.
Ability to recall and promote menu items.
Proficiency with point of sale systems.
Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
Strong verbal and written communication adaptable to different audiences.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $18.00
Eligible for Tips/Service Charge
Not eligible for Discretionary Performance Bonus
