Summary: Under general supervision, the Lead Bartender opens and closes the hotel Kitchen+Bar following company policies and procedures. The role includes maintaining the food prep and bar areas in a clean, organized manner while serving and assisting guests. The team member must consistently demonstrate integrity, service, and hospitality to promote the Drury culture with guests and fellow team members. A general knowledge of the hotel, local area, and events is necessary to answer guest questions.

Responsibilities:

Open and close the Kitchen+Bar according to company standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and food prep areas
Serve and assist guests with a high standard of hospitality
Perform bartender, prep cook, and cocktail server duties as needed
Obtain and maintain all required certifications
Handle money, make accurate change, and use office equipment such as cash registers and POS software
Address difficult situations and guests diplomatically and professionally

Required Qualifications:

Minimum age: 21 years
At least one year of bartending experience; two or more years supervisory experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of college preferred
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to operate relevant equipment including dishwashers and kitchen machines
Ability to open and close the bar, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness
Strong money handling skills including distinguishing currency denominations

Pay: $14.00 - $24.00 per hour, starting wage based on experience, skills, and education
