Title: Niagara County Fair Milk Bar Manager - Lockport, NY

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County is seeking two full-time Milk Bar Managers based in Lockport, NY.

Responsibilities:

Manage Milk Bar operations before, during, and after the Niagara County Fair.
Sell a variety of food and other items to the public.
Set up, organize, and clean the Milk Bar, ensuring daily cleanliness and maintenance.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with ordering supplies.
Receive and log deliveries.
Supervise food preparation and ensure compliance with health department regulations and safety standards.
Train, orient, and support volunteers and ensure proper volunteer management.
Manage cash handling, maintain logs, and ensure financial controls are followed.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment, proactively preventing accidents.
Prepare and submit expense and mileage reports as required.
Provide recommendations for future Milk Bar operations.
Collaborate with Association staff and comply with all policies and health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient English communication (speaking, reading, writing).
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Basic computer skills including email and timekeeping software.
Knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling.
Ability to supervise volunteers and work well with diverse groups.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, walking, standing, bending, and stretching.
Ability to pass a background check.

Position Details:

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time.
Wage: $20.00 per hour.
Location: Lockport, NY; remote work not available.
Employment ends August 12, 2026.
