Job Description

Hilton Garden Inn Cincinnati Northeast is seeking a Bartender to provide customized beverage service to hotel guests in a friendly, energetic, and timely manner. The Bartender is responsible for ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience at the bar by maintaining excellent guest relations and multitasking efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and provide clear descriptions of food and beverage options.
Maintain proper organization and adequate setup of the bar area.
Stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, condiments, fresh produce, and other perishables.
Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and apply portion control.
Attend monthly departmental meetings.
Use POS systems to input orders and secure accurate payment.
Handle cash management including receiving payment, providing change, and balancing cash at the end of shifts.
Secure all beverages, food, and equipment at shift end.
Sanitize and clean the bar area regularly.
Complete daily inventory prep sheets and other side work as required.
Maintain knowledge of current menu items and promote drink orders.
Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas.
Demonstrate knowledge of hotel amenities and hours.
Work effectively with service and kitchen teams to ensure a positive guest experience.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience in hospitality or bartending preferred.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
Friendly service with a smile at all times.
Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must arrive and clock in/out punctually.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Work Environment: Employees may be required to remain upright for long periods, walk long distances, perform repetitive wrist and hand motions, and lift certain supplies.
