The Hampton Lakes Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and food to members and their guests. This position reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage.

Responsibilities:

Maintain proper daily setup of the bar including requisitioning and stocking all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on business volume.
Prepare and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
Greet customers in a courteous and friendly manner, addressing them by name whenever possible.
Promote and document drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard recipes and portion control.
Accurately input orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system in a timely manner.
Present checks promptly and obtain appropriate payment or signatures.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products to maintain sanitation standards.
Adhere to all state and federal liquor regulations, including South Carolina ALE laws, to ensure compliance when serving alcoholic beverages.
Understand and follow Hampton Hall’s company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum of two years hospitality service experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with Jonas or similar POS food-service systems.
General understanding of food and hospitality service principles.
Proven work history in the club beverage industry.
Excellent communication skills.

Physical Requirements: This role requires regular exertion of up to 50 pounds, frequent standing, speaking, hearing, hand coordination, and occasional stooping, kneeling, or walking. Handling hot and cold food items and working in a moderately noisy environment are expected. Employees must wear appropriate uniforms and anti-slip safety shoes.
