Position Purpose: Assist in delivering food and beverage service to restaurant and bar guests.

Essential Responsibilities:

Stock bar items such as glassware, straws, toothpicks, napkins, garnishes, ice, towels, and cleaning supplies.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, and garnish preparation.
Ensure taps, coolers, blenders, and coffee makers are clean and operational.
Support bartenders in taking customer orders and processing them in the point-of-sale system during peak hours.
Clear tables properly by removing dishes, glassware, and silverware.
Clean bar and table surfaces regularly throughout the shift.
Wipe down chairs, railings, and other high-touch surfaces.
Remove and dispose of trash bags from receptacles in and around the bar area.
Sweep and mop bar service and customer common areas.
Securely store all liquor, beer, and wine products.
Assist with washing glassware and dishes when necessary.
Support the service team to meet and exceed guest expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned by managers or supervisors.

Supportive Functions:

Assist with guest inquiries.
Follow all company safety and security policies.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform additional job duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Demands:

Work primarily indoors with controlled moderate temperature.
Able to work in extreme temperatures (freezers at -10°F and kitchens at +110°F) for up to 1 hour.
Ability to stand and move steadily for up to 4 hours.
Ability to maneuver in limited spaces and reach other hotel departments timely.
Lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts/equipment up to 250 lbs.
Perform repetitive motions such as grasping, bending, climbing, and typing.
Use hearing, tasting, smelling, and visual skills to assess product quality and detect emergencies.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in spoken and written English.
Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and electronic.
Excellent leadership and customer relations skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Basic computer and computational skills.
Ability to handle customers patiently and diplomatically.
Familiar with Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems.
Self-driven and able to work independently.
Strong issue resolution and analytical skills.
Knowledge of table and bar service, as well as spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred.

Licenses or Certifications:

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
Safe Server Alcohol & Food certification preferred.

Grooming and Attendance:

Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance following Azul Hospitality standards.
Regular attendance is essential; irregular attendance or tardiness may lead to disciplinary action, including termination.
Comply with all Azul Hospitality rules for safe and effective operations.
Flexibility to work varying schedules per business needs.
Attend all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
