Title: Bartender - Full Time

Job Summary: The Bartender is responsible for preparing food and drink orders, serving beverages and meals to patrons in compliance with state and federal age regulations, and managing lounge/bar operations.

Responsibilities:

Verify customers' age by checking identification before alcohol service.
Present menus, answer questions, and take food and beverage orders from guests or serving staff.
Prepare drink orders including wine, liquor, and beer according to recipes and standards.
Prepare appetizers and food items as required.
Monitor seating in the lounge/bar area to ensure all guests are served.
Compute bills, accept payments, and track sales receipts.
Limit problems related to excessive drinking by discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management when necessary.
Clean bars, work areas, tables, glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
Maintain and stock kitchen and lounge stations, keeping areas tidy at the end of each shift.
Plan, organize, and control lounge/bar operations.
Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
Arrange bottles and glasses attractively.
Create and invent drink recipes.
Conduct weekly inventories of liquor, food, supplies, and equipment; order supplies as needed.
Maintain daily temperature and waste logs.
Receive, date, and inspect foodstuffs and supplies for quality and quantity compliance.
Ensure proper reporting of tips for tax purposes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Three to six months of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Valid Alcohol Awareness Certification compliant with state regulations.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop alternative solutions when needed.
Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations professionally and respond promptly to service requests.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and treat others with respect.
Knowledge of and ability to follow policies, procedures, safety, and security protocols.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to meet work schedule demands, including occasional hours outside regular shifts; schedules may vary based on business needs.
