Job Description
Emmy Squared Short Pump is seeking experienced bartenders to join our growing team. Part of the Pizza Loves Emily Restaurant Group, Emmy Squared is an upscale casual restaurant company with over 20 locations including New York City, Westport, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Alexandria, Charlotte, Durham, Atlanta, Athens, Louisville, and Nashville.
Bartender Key Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous, prompt service to guests
- Prepare beverage orders for bar and dining areas following signature recipes
- Adhere to Emmy’s Steps of Service
- Accurately enter guest orders into the Toast POS system
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu and beverage offerings
- Communicate guest requests and dietary restrictions to culinary staff
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Maintain a clean and presentable work environment
- Maintain a positive and outgoing demeanor
- Promote safety for self, coworkers, and guests
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Bartender Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-year bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant
- In-depth knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
- Experience with cash handling, excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing guest needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers
- Passion for hospitality and the food & beverage industry
- Flexible schedule availability
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 lbs; frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and standing or walking for extended periods are required
