Job Description
Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana is currently interviewing for a knowledgeable, experienced, and service-oriented Bartender. Candidates must have at least one year of full-service bartending experience and be able to multitask in a high-volume environment while exceeding guest expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following Il Fornaio's standard recipes
- Provide outstanding hospitality to guests, maintaining a guest-focused attitude
- Make guest recommendations based on knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and a la carte food service
- Deliver drinks and food accurately and efficiently
- Close out checks and reconcile cash in a timely manner
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully
- Monitor guest satisfaction
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of full-service bartender experience
- Flexible work schedule including weekends
- Possession of a Foodhandler Card
- RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate required for California locations
- Prior experience as bartender, mixologist, or bar back is helpful
