Job Description
Title: Sunrise #85 Bartender
Overview: Our bartenders are outgoing and personable individuals who know most of their regular customers by name. Sunrise #85 is a family-run restaurant welcoming guests from all over with great food, drinks, and fun. We serve continuously from opening until late at night and are a home away from home for many Floridians.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all company safety, sanitation policies, and procedural training
- Mix liquor and drink ingredients according to company recipes and measures
- Serve guests in a cheerful and courteous manner while maintaining a neat and professional appearance
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked bar
- Verify correct pricing for drinks
- Serve food according to server requirements
- Be knowledgeable about drink promotions and specials; answer guest questions clearly
- Enter orders accurately and promptly into the POS system
- Assess guests’ demeanor; identify intoxicated guests and notify a manager when necessary
- Collect and process guest payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards), ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of change
- Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned side work
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand and walk for 100% of the shift
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, stir, wipe, and shake drinks vigorously
- Frequent immersion of hands in water
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Able to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc.
- Completion and passing of Florida Responsible Vendor program per company and state regulations
- Completion and passing of food safety certification per company and state regulations
- Ability to request proper identification and calculate guests’ age manually
