Job Description

Position Title: Bartender

Pay Range: $9.00 to $13.00 per hour

Job Summary: Prepare and serve beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. Adhere to all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up assigned bars; requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain stock and prepare fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure product quality.
Greet guests courteously and process drink orders.
Mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
Check guest identification to ensure legal drinking age.
Detect guest inebriation and act accordingly in compliance with liquor laws.
Handle cash transactions, make change, verify charges, and record sales.
Secure beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, cash drops, and bank at closing.
Perform cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards; keep work area organized.
Arrange bottles and glassware to present an attractive bar display.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Ability to detect guest inebriation and verify proper identification according to law.
Ability to maintain a clean work area and follow standard ingredient recipes.
