Job Description

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently seeking a Bartender for the Sheraton Northbrook, Northbrook, IL 60062.

Job Purpose: The Bartender serves as a primary social point of contact and creates a lasting impression for guests by providing warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve beverages according to company standards.
Assist servers, other bartenders, and bar porters as needed.
Maintain professionalism, maturity, and positive conduct.
Foster friendly and encouraging relationships with co-workers.
Use time efficiently and stay self-motivated.
Maintain open communication with all departments.
Accept and implement feedback constructively.
Support other departments in emergency situations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt standards preferred.
Strong knowledge of drink preparation and health standards.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local alcohol service laws and company policies.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Basic computational and computer skills.
Familiarity with hotel services, menu items, and bar equipment.
Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments and withstand extreme temperatures for short periods.
Ability to stand and move for up to 4 hours continuously.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and push/pull equipment up to 250 lbs.
Manual dexterity for operating equipment.
Possession of Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers certifications.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly wage: $16.80 - $18.00
