Bartender, Restaurant - Charlotte Southpark NC Canopy

Responsibilities:

Provide customized beverage service to hotel restaurant and bar customers in a friendly, energetic, and timely manner.
Greet guests warmly and provide clear descriptions of food and beverage options.
Maintain proper and adequate bar setup and organization.
Stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, condiments, fresh fruit, and other perishables.
Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
Attend monthly departmental meetings.
Input orders into POS system and ensure accurate payment processing.
Manage cash transactions, verify charges, and balance cash at end of shift.
Secure and store all beverages, food, and equipment; lock up and deposit cash drops as needed.
Sanitize and clean the bar area regularly.
Complete daily inventory prep and other side work as allowed.
Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings and promote items.
Ensure compliance with food safety policies including product rotation, labeling, and cleaning.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas.
Work effectively with service and kitchen teams to deliver a positive guest experience.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience in hospitality, service, or consumer-facing roles preferred; prior bartending experience is a plus.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions, complete tasks, and meet deadlines.
Provide friendly service with a smile.
Flexible availability including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
Punctuality required; must clock in/out for shifts and breaks as scheduled.
Provide advance notice when unable to work a scheduled shift.
Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods; ability to lift supplies as needed.
Good English reading, writing, and communication skills.
