RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide excellent beverage and food service to hotel guests in compliance with state and county ABC laws and regulations.
Handle cash and payment procedures to protect hotel revenues.
Monitor alcohol consumption to ensure guest and hotel safety.
Maintain sanitary conditions of bar stations, utensils, equipment, and beverage dispensers.
Set up bar and reception stations according to Hilton Garden Inn brand standards.
Follow all HGI mandated training and certifications, including CARE.
Know beverage menus, portion sizes, recipes, glassware, and garnishes.
Order, pick up, and serve food items as required, understanding preparation and ingredients.
Provide attentive, visible, and prompt guest service.
Store all equipment, food, and beverages properly.
Maintain a clean and complete uniform, including non-slip shoes for safety.
Work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Assist in other hotel areas during shifts if required.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory.
Previous experience in food and beverage service, bartending, or hospitality is preferred.
Comfort with computerized Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work in kitchen, dining, and bar environments with heat, sharp tools, and varying weather exposure.
Flexible schedule with possible weekend and holiday shifts.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and handling hot or cold items regularly.
Ability to sustain focus and multitask efficiently throughout the shift.
