Barback - Seasonal

Job DetailsJob Location: Rio Grande, NJ 08242Salary Range: $13.00 - $13.01 HourlyJob Summary: As a seasonal Barback you will be responsible for ensuring that the bar area and Taproom are running smoothly, with all the supplies the Beertenders need to provide a superb customer experience.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead by example in upholding the Company’s Core Values and promoting a positive and constructive working environment

Stock the keg cooler

Change kegs

Collecting dirty glassware

Wash/stock glassware and monitor inventory of glassware

Assist Beertenders with closing tickets and collect payment using the POS system

Following the company’s cash handling policy at all times

Assist with opening the taproom and or closing duties

Cleaning the taproom/lavatories

Clean trash/debris in taproom, exterior of building, walk-in cooler, etc.

Periodically clean beer lines

Attend and represent Cape May Brewing Company at special/promotional events

Participate in training programs

Perform job duties in a safe and responsible manner

Work as a team with all coworkers

Perform other tasks assigned by Taproom Manager/Beertenders as needed

QualificationsQualifications:

21 years of age or older

High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

Clean criminal background history

Special Requirements:

Must have a solid working knowledge of beer and brewing or a strong desire to learn about the brewing process

Passionate about craft beer

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Standing for long periods of time

Squatting, crouching, bending, kneeling, twisting

Repetitive movements

Lifting to 60 lbs. unassisted and up to 160 lbs. assisted

Manually manipulating glassware

Access, input, and retrieve information from a computer

Regularly required to reach with arms and hands

Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, and controls

Required to talk and to hear

Occasionally required to climb and balance

Working individually and as a team

Working under time pressure

Encountering frequent interruptions

Using effective verbal communication

Environmental Conditions:

Working in hot and cold temperatures

Working on uneven surfaces and wet conditions

Handling hazardous chemicals
