Title: Assistant Bartender, Pool Service Bars

Summary: The Assistant Bartender is responsible for providing courteous and professional service to guests while supporting bartenders throughout their shift. This role ensures bar areas remain clean, organized, and fully stocked with prepared ingredients.

Primary Job Duties:

Greet and welcome all guests professionally.
Ensure the bar is properly stocked with necessary supplies including ice coolers, garnish trays, straws, and napkin holders.
Maintain and clean bar equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in working order.
Assist with inventories and requisitions to restock bar items.
Quickly respond to spills and maintain a clean, safe bar environment.
Anticipate guests’ needs and respond promptly.
Perform all opening and closing duties according to shift assignment.
Maintain consistent professional attendance, punctuality, appearance, and hygiene.
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge related to the role.
Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
Participate in special events, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities as requested.
Use personal devices for job-related tasks as authorized.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic understanding of bartender work and drink preparation.
Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Effective communication skills in English.
Polished appearance and professional demeanor.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to understand and comply with company policies and procedures.

Preferred:

Previous experience in a large, luxury resort or similar bar setting.
At least 6 months of relevant experience.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Computer literacy.
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Ability to maintain an organized, stocked, and clean bar.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Certificates and Licenses:

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Required licenses for the position.

Physical Demands:

Work is performed in a restaurant/bar environment.
Must tolerate varying noise levels, temperature, lighting, and air quality.
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
Frequent bending and reaching.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver items up to 30 lbs.
Good eye/hand coordination.
Follow all policies, procedures, and safety instructions.
