Title: Bartender

Job Location: The Golden Tiki - Las Vegas, NV 89102 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $12.00 Hourly Job Shift: Any

Job Summary: The Bartender is responsible for preparing, serving, and mixing classic and innovative drinks according to guests' needs and expectations. The primary goal is to provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all guests.

Essential Job Functions:

Maintain positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages in a friendly and efficient manner
Take beverage orders from guests
Accept guest payments and process credit card charges using POS systems
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes
Peel, slice, and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies
Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift
Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages
Maintain cleanliness in all bar areas including floors, counters, sinks, utensils, and shelves
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
Organize bottles and glasses attractively and functionally to support efficient drink preparation

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of food and beverage service experience
High School Diploma or GED
At least 21 years of age
Valid Sheriff’s card and/or required work permits
Excellent knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, liquor, and drink preparation techniques
Strong organizational, multitasking, and guest service skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
Basic math skills and ability to operate cash register and POS systems
Professional presentation and positive attitude

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for prolonged periods and traverse all parts of the restaurant
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance if needed
Flexibility in wrist and ability to perform repetitive motions such as scooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending
Visual ability to read small print and inspect equipment
Mobility in walk-in refrigerators and freezers with temperatures ranging from 40°F to -10°F
