Job Description

Herschend is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our restaurant operations team for our newest hospitality venture, Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Nashville. The ideal candidate is driven to provide excellent bar experiences for our guests through proper service and maintaining a positive work environment for hosts and vendors in the Listening Lobby — our daytime space for bites and beverages.

Inspired by Dolly Parton's legendary career and spirit, SongTeller Hotel offers a unique and memorable experience celebrating music, style, and hospitality the Dolly way. The hotel features 245 rooms, two F&B entertainment venues, a market, and Dolly Parton’s Museum.

The Listening Lobby Bartender will play a key role in opening bar efforts, creating meaningful experiences for guests, hosts, and the community while ensuring the success and profitability of our unique bar offerings. This role requires a passion for music and cocktails, as the lobby features acoustic performances.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with management on daily objectives.
Properly set up and close down bar wells, ensuring all supplies are stocked.
Maintain cleanliness and inspect the bar regularly.
Craft and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer with consistency and precision.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the full beverage menu, including non-alcoholic offerings.
Ensure a clean, sanitary environment in compliance with local and federal health codes.
Perform service, busser, and runner duties as needed.
Be willing to work in other department roles as directed.
Use POS accurately and handle card transactions appropriately.
Participate in upselling strategies.
Engage in daily team line-ups and follow service standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required.
Minimum one year of bartending experience.
Ability to obtain Serve Safe/Alcohol Server Certification.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Basic computer knowledge preferred.
Must pass a pre-employment background check.
