Job Description
Join Starwood Hotels as a Bartender at Alteño, a renowned establishment developed in partnership with Chef Johnny Curiel and Kasie Curiel, founders of Fonda Fina Hospitality. Alteño in Denver, Colorado, has been recognized as one of Condé Nast Traveler’s 'Best New Restaurants in the World: 2026 Hot List.'
Main Responsibilities:
- Craft classic and creative alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, using high-quality ingredients.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging guests warmly, understanding their preferences, and offering tailored recommendations.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the full food and drink menu to make informed suggestions.
- Accurately take and promptly prepare drink orders, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and sanitized; adhere to safety, hygiene, and liquor regulations.
- Perform opening and closing procedures and participate in training sessions and team meetings.
- Uphold company policies including attendance, dress code, cash handling, and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum one year of bartending experience.
- Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
- Organized, able to multitask, reliable, and adaptable team player.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment).
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including holidays, weekends, days, and evenings.
