Job Title: Cocktail Server

Location: Lone Star Court - Austin, TX 78758 Position Type: Full Time Salary: $10.00 per hour

Overview: Join an award-winning team at Valencia Hotel Group, known for exceptional customer service and unique hotel experiences. We seek a dedicated Cocktail Server to provide guests with an elevated cocktail and lounge experience through attentive, friendly, and efficient beverage service.

Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager Status: Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver beverages and food promptly and accurately to guests
Maintain knowledge of liquor brands, recipes, pricing, glassware, and garnishes
Process orders accurately using POS systems
Promote and upsell food and beverage offerings
Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and lounge areas
Provide warm, engaging, and professional guest service at all times
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
Create an upscale and welcoming guest experience
Collaborate with bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, and management
Participate in meetings and ongoing training sessions
Communicate guest feedback and operational concerns to management
Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately
Follow all TABC laws, alcohol service guidelines, and hotel safety standards
Verify guest identification as required

Qualifications:

TABC Certification required
Food Handler Certification required
Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent guest service and hospitality mindset
Effective multitasking and time management abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Minimum 1 year experience in serving, lounge, restaurant, or hospitality preferred

Physical Requirements:

Constant standing and walking on various surfaces
Frequent lifting/carrying of trays, beverages, and supplies up to 40 lbs
Occasional bending or crouching for stocking, cleaning, and service tasks

Work Environment:

Interior: Lounge, bar, restaurant, banquet, and hotel service areas
Occasionally outdoors at events or patio areas

Additional Information:

Display courteous and professional behavior with guests and team members
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
