Job Title: Music Hall Barback - House of Blues Dallas
Job Summary: The Music Hall Barback at House of Blues Dallas supports the bartending team by maintaining, stocking, and cleaning the bar area to ensure efficient and productive service during events. This role involves handling ice, liquor, beer, wine, coolers, and managing trash and recycling according to venue policies.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar
- Stock ice bins, liquor, beer, wine, and coolers
- Assist with opening, running, and closing bar duties following House of Blues policies
- Separate glass, cardboard, and plastics per local regulations
- Operate trash compactor and ensure trash containers are clean and lined
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local laws and venue policies
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards
- Stay informed about current menu items and event guidelines
Requirements:
- Ability to work late hours and maintain a flexible schedule
- Responsible Alcohol Training Certification or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Tolerance and appreciation of diverse cultures, music, and art forms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customer-facing roles
- Experience verifying valid IDs
- Prior experience working in live music environments
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, often loud and stressful setting
- Extended periods of standing indoors or outdoors
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper techniques
