Position Purpose: Assist in the delivery of food and beverage service to restaurant and bar guests.

Essential Responsibilities:

Stock bar items such as glassware, straws, toothpicks, napkins, garnishes, ice, towels, and cleaning supplies.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, and garnish preparation.
Ensure taps, coolers, blenders, coffee makers, and other appliances are clean and operational.
Support bartenders by taking customer orders and processing them in the point-of-sale system during peak hours.
Clear tables using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware, and silverware.
Clean bar and table surfaces and wipe down chairs, railings, and other high-touch areas.
Remove and dispose of trash bags from receptacles in and around the bar.
Sweep and mop bar service and customer areas.
Secure and safely store liquor, beer, and wine products.
Wash glassware and dishes as needed.
Assist the service team to meet and exceed guest expectations.
Perform other duties assigned by managers and supervisors.

Supportive Functions:

Assist with guest inquiries.
Follow all company safety and security policies.
Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Physical Demands:

Work primarily indoors in moderate temperature with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (freezers at -10°F, kitchens up to +110°F) for up to one hour.
Ability to stand and move continuously for up to four hours.
Maneuver in limited spaces and between hotel departments.
Lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts or equipment up to 250 lbs.
Required physical activities include grasping, writing, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, and sensory skills (hearing, smelling, tasting, vision).

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in the primary workplace language with good verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
Strong leadership, customer relations, organizational, and detail orientation skills.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS.
Ability to work independently and resolve issues effectively.
Knowledge of table and bar service and familiarity with spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred.

Licenses or Certifications:

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
Safe Server Alcohol & Food certification preferred.

Grooming:

Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to Azul Hospitality standards.

Attendance:

Regular attendance is essential. Irregular attendance or tardiness may result in disciplinary action, up to termination.
Must comply with Azul Hospitality rules and participate in all required training and meetings.
Flexible scheduling may be necessary due to business needs.
