Position Purpose: Assist in the delivery of food and beverage service to restaurant and bar guests.

Essential Responsibilities:

Stock bar items such as glassware, straws, toothpicks, napkins, garnishes, ice, towels, and cleaning supplies.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, washing and preparing garnishes.
Ensure taps, coolers, blenders, and coffee makers are clean and operational.
Support bartenders by taking customer orders and processing them in the point-of-sale system during peak times.
Clear tables using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware, and silverware.
Clean bar and table surfaces and wipe down chairs, railings, and other high-touch areas throughout the shift.
Remove and dispose of trash bags from receptacles in and around the bar area.
Sweep and mop bar service areas and customer common areas.
Securely store all liquor, beer, and wine products.
May wash glassware and dishes if needed.
Assist service team to meet and exceed guest expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.

Supportive Functions:

Assist with guest inquiries.
Follow all company safety and security policies.
Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Demands:

Work is mostly indoors, with moderate temperature controlled by environmental systems.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures (freezers at -10°F and kitchens at +110°F) for up to one hour.
Ability to stand and move continuously for up to four hours.
Ability to maneuver in limited spaces and reach various hotel departments promptly.
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts or equipment up to 250 lbs.
Requires dexterity, visual acuity, hearing, smelling, tasting, and communication skills.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Effective communication skills (verbal, written, electronic).
Basic computer and computational skills.
Ability to work independently and exhibit strong problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of table and bar service.
Familiarity with spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.
Must speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred.

Licenses or Certifications:

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
Safe Server Alcohol & Food certification preferred.

Grooming:

Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per Azul Hospitality standards.

Attendance:

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
Compliance with all hotel policies and participation in training sessions are required.
