Job Description
Title: Bartender
Description: A Bartender is responsible for providing excellent, efficient customer service to all guests with a focus on the bar area. The role includes ringing in food and drink orders, preparing drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and prepping for service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival.
- Deliver excellent customer service from entry to departure.
- Memorize menu and cocktail recipes.
- Handle cash transactions accurately.
- Complete internal health audits as required.
- Maintain sanitation by sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, and sanitizing tables and surfaces.
- Maintain beverage and salsa stations.
- Complete opening and closing procedures as directed.
- Portion out prepared food and prepare to-go boxes.
- Prepare Agua Frescas and other nonalcoholic scratch-made products.
- Prepare garnishes and syrups for cocktails.

Qualifications: Minimum:
- Able to speak English.
- Comfortable working with a team.
- Basic math skills (addition and subtraction).
- Able to take constructive criticism.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology (POS systems, printers, KDS, etc.).
- Able to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Preferred:
- Prior experience as a bartender or barback.
- Knowledge of basic measurements (ounces, cups).
- Familiarity with local liquor laws.
- Understanding of alcohol pairings and tastings; Mezcal knowledge is a plus.
- Local Alcohol Handler's certification (if applicable).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift 25+ pounds.
- Able to stand for 8 hours continuously.
- Able to perform repetitive tasks while stationary for extended periods.
- Able to move quickly throughout the restaurant.
- Able to access and navigate all areas of the restaurant.
- Able to work in varying temperatures related to kitchen environments.
