Title: Cocktail Server Overnight - Gaming Floor

Job Purpose: Provide service to guests by taking and delivering drink orders on the gaming floor during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities:

Greet and acknowledge guests, respond to requests promptly.
Take, deliver, and serve beverage orders accurately.
Enter orders into the point of sale system and process payments.
Follow responsible alcohol service policies including verifying age with proper ID, monitoring consumption, and stopping service as required.
Promote guest relations by providing information on promotions, contests, and giveaways.
Maintain clean and sanitary service areas by cleaning tables, disposing of trash, and picking up used items.
Keep drink stations stocked and clean, submit supply requisitions as needed.
Account for transactions by balancing cash drawer and reporting discrepancies.

Job Specifications: Education and Experience (Essential):

County of San Diego Food Handler Card
CA ABC Responsible Beverage Service Certification
Minimum age of 21 years

Desirable:

Experience in guest or hospitality service
Cash handling experience
Cocktail server experience
Casino experience

Skills and Knowledge (Essential):

Effective interpersonal and communication skills in English
Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours
Ability to count cash, make change, and recognize counterfeit money
Ability to perform simple math calculations and complete forms
Punctuality and professionalism
Ability to work in a smoking environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending and stooping
