Title: Server Bartender (Mesero/Cantinero)

Job Location: Monsaraz Hotel - San Diego, CA 92106 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Salary Range: $17.75 hourly Job Shift: Any Category: Restaurant - Food Service

POSITION PURPOSE Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to all guests. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables and bar area.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet all guests warmly and professionally.
Take and process food and beverage orders accurately.
Describe menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods; suggest products to customers.
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
Verify customer identification to ensure legal drinking age.
Prevent service of alcohol to minors and intoxicated persons.
Perform opening and closing procedures, including side work to maintain stocked and clean stations.
Restock and organize bar inventory and supplies.
Conduct inventory of spirits during opening and closing.
Securely store all liquor, beer, and wine products.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, and garnish preparation.
Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of taps, coolers, and appliances.
Dispose of waste, clean glassware, and wipe service and prep areas regularly.
Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet.
Operate cash register/POS accurately; handle payments in cash or credit cards and provide correct change.
Deliver professional and courteous guest service at all times.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

Respond to guest inquiries.
Follow all company safety, security, and operational policies.
Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work primarily indoors with moderate temperature control.
Ability to endure extreme temperatures (freezers and kitchens) for up to one hour.
Stand and move actively for up to four hours.
Maneuver efficiently in limited space and between hotel departments.
Lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts or equipment up to 250 lbs.
Perform repetitive motions, bending, climbing, and have good hearing and vision.
Maintain ability to distinguish product quality and recognize emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handler certifications required.
1-3 years food service experience preferred.
Experience with Micros POS preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Leadership and customer relations skills.
Detail oriented with excellent organizational ability.
Basic computer and computational skills.
Knowledge of table and bar service, spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.
Ability to work independently and in a team.

Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per company standards.
Regular attendance is essential; punctuality is required.
Compliance with company policies including safety and operational procedures is mandatory.
Flexible scheduling to meet business needs.
Participation in all required training and meetings.
