Job Title: Bartender

Location: 687 - Raleigh North Hills Hilton, Raleigh, NC 27609 Position Type: On Call Shift: Any

Responsibilities:

Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
Greet guests courteously, take and document drink orders.
Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and controlling portions.
Maintain proper daily bar setup, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily function needs.
Manage stock, cutting, and storing of fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure quality.
Handle cash transactions, make change, verify charges, record sales, and balance cash drawer.
Secure all beverages, food, equipment, and cash deposits at closing.
Answer bar phone promptly to take room service orders courteously.
Input orders into the register, create guest checks, and maintain beverage accountability.
Perform general cleaning duties using approved hotel products to maintain health standards.
Follow all company policies, safety, and security procedures including fire prevention and emergency actions.
Use protective equipment and report unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor.
Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per team standards.
Assist other beverage personnel as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements:

Current Food Handler Card.
Knowledge of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service.
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, totaling checks, and preparing cash drops.
Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.
Manual dexterity to prepare garnishes, handle glassware, bottles, scoop ice, and reach stock overhead.
Ability to understand and communicate simple English.
Ability to follow written product labeling and procedure instructions.
Ability to remember and promote menu items.
Ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers.
Physical ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts and lift up to 30 lbs.
Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, and smiling required.
