Job Description

The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation is seeking a Pool Grille Bartender to prepare, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The position requires knowledge of mixology and food service.

Responsibilities:

Inspect the bar before opening to ensure adequate supplies.
Request additional supplies and stock the bar.
Follow set-up procedures.
Prepare garnishes, fruit mixes, and pre-mixed drinks prior to opening.
Greet members and guests.
Mix, prepare, and serve drinks according to approved recipes.
Collect payments for drinks served.
Report complaints to management.
Maintain and clean bar area and equipment.
Keep records of liquors, beers, and wine to maintain stock.
Clean and lock the bar area following closing procedures.
Properly store, label, date, and rotate food items to prevent spoilage and hazards.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
Adhere to all laws and club policies regarding alcohol service.
Practice beverage and revenue control procedures.
Thank members and guests and invite them to return.
Perform other assignments as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications:

Minimum high school education.
At least one year of bartending experience.
Alcohol beverage and food safety certification.
Legal age to serve alcohol (21 and over).

Core Competencies:

Stock bar and complete pre-opening tasks.
Skilled in preparing alcoholic beverages and managing service responsibly.
Comply with safety and sanitation standards.
Good organizational skills.
Basic knowledge of POS systems preferred.
Familiarity with club operations, events, and hours.
Ability to work both small and large events with minimal supervision.
Complete pre-closing duties.
Ensure compliance with state and local alcohol laws.
Ability to perform roles during emergencies.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and reach.
Work outdoors in temperatures up to 90°F.
Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
Perform continuous repetitive motions.
Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments.
